How To Make Coffee Jelly

As a self-described “texture person”, this is my dream dessert. Coffee-forward, squishy, and just the right amount of sweet.

INGREDIENTS

COFFEE JELLY

500ml cold brew

40g cane sugar

3.5g agar agar

ORANGE WHIPPED CREAM

100ml heavy whipping cream

10g cane sugar

1g vanilla paste

Zest from one orange

BUILD

In a small saucepan on medium heat, combine your cold brew, sugar, and agar agar. Gently stir this mixture continuously until the sugar fully melts. Allow the liquid to reach a simmer for 1-2 minutes before removing from heat.

Allow the liquid to partially cool (10-15 mins) before transferring into molds or a flat pan. Place in the fridge to cool and set. The jelly should set within 45 minutes.

Remove from molds or cut into bite-sized pieces before serving. This recipe makes two servings.

In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, vanilla paste, sugar, and orange zest. Vigorously whisk or beat until soft peaks form.

Spoon on top of coffee jelly before serving.

This recipe makes two servings.
